City of Westfield appoints new department directors

The City of Westfield appointed Michael Pearce as director of engineering and Chuck Haberman as director of economic development Dec. 16. They begin their roles Jan. 1 and Jan. 12, 2026, respectively.
Pearce has served the city for more than six years, most recently as city engineer since 2022. He will be responsible for implementing the city’s Capital Improvement Plan, overseeing the asset management program, managing the stormwater utility and coordinating infrastructure improvements associated with private developments.
