Ed Koczan used to play “shopkeeper” when he was a kid and he’s made that childhood dream a reality with his new store, Pop Junction, a small-batch specialty popcorn shop in the heart of Westfield.
Koczan, a Westfield resident since 2012, has worked in sales and marketing and said he started looking for business opportunities a few years ago. He considered a variety of options, from construction to LEGO resale. But then, he said, he and his wife were watching a documentary about a popcorn business.
“I told her, ‘I would totally go do that,’ and she’s like, ‘Well, why don’t you go do that?’” he said. And so it began.
