Stella’s Ice Cream opens new Westfield shop

A new ice cream shop named for a bulldog opened July 1 in Westfield, offering ice cream and ice cream-based treats made on-site, along with baked goods, beverages and a special challenge for extra-hungry guests.

Briana Edwards is the general manager of the new franchise, owned by Ron Watson, who has opened other restaurants in the central Indiana area.

“He chose Westfield for this location because it’s just booming,” she said. “Everyone is really nice and really community oriented. One of the things that Stella’s really strives for is serving all kinds, and that’s not just ice cream, that’s serving all types of people in our community, and that’s something that Westfield seems to provide as well, is a lot of families of all types and all kinds.”
