Westfield mayor proposed $89M city budget for 2027

Westfield Mayor Scott Willis introduced the proposed 2027 city budget to the council and the public Sept. 14, calling for a spending plan that totals $89.4 million and includes a slight tax rate decrease.
Willis noted that the 2027 budget is balanced, with all projected spending aligning with projected revenue. He added that the city is adding some new positions to prepare for the transition to becoming a second-class city in 2028.
