Grand Park zoning district heads back to city council

The Westfield Advisory Plan Commission unanimously approved design standards and permitted uses Aug. 3 for the proposed Grand Park District, sending it back to the city council for a final vote.
The proposed new zoning district would streamline development inside the Grand Park footprint. Senior Planner Lauren Gillingham-Teague said it allows new permitted projects or site uses inside of the sports park to move quickly with city approval, while maintaining a standard of review for both significant and minor variations.
