Green gone: Historic Westfield building renovations complete, including new exterior color
Local
Renovation work is complete on Westfield’s historic “green building,” which is no longer green. The 1837 structure — the city’s oldest commercial building — now sports a new shade of gold, which matches a color found during renovation work.
The interior of the two-story building has new walls, ceilings, light fixtures, windows and doors, and the flooring is mostly complete as well. The front room’s floor is prepped, but Executive Chief of Operations John Nail said it made sense to hold off on new flooring for that space.
