An ancient sport is coming to Westfield in 2027, when Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus hosts the 143rd USA Archery Target Nationals and 2027 U.S. Open.
The events also will feature Stage 1 2028 Olympic Team Trials Qualifications, which include compound archery for the first time, according to a news release. Since archery returned to the Olympic Games in 1972, only recurve has been included. For the 2028 Games in Los Angeles, compound has been added as a mixed team event.
